House Rules.
These aren't really rules so much as the things that keep two old houses, one working grove, and a small village happy. Most of them come down to the same idea: treat the place like it's ours, because it is — and like it's yours, because while you're here, it is too.
Arriving and Leaving

Tell us your arrival time in advance — your host lives nearby, so knowing when to expect you is all we need.
Early arrival or late departure? Just ask. If the calendar allows, we're happy to arrange it — note there's a small charge when we can offer it, as it affects the turnover between guests.
Any question about getting in, getting out, or getting here at all: message us. Nearby means nearby — we're quick.
The Houses
No smoking indoors. The terraces and courtyards are all yours.
The fireplace (Stone House) is not for guest use. We know it's tempting — but it's an old hearth in an old house, and we ask that it stay unlit. The same goes for any open fire outdoors: this is a hillside of olive trees, and fire rules in Greece are strict and serious.
Air conditioning: use it freely — doors-open-AC-on is the one combination we ask you to avoid. And please turn off when you leave the house.
Water: the houses have normal plumbing, but this is a rural Greek hillside — please don't flush paper. Use the bin beside the toilet (it's emptied with every clean; all of Greece does this).
Breakages and damage: things happen — tell us straight away so we can fix them before the next guests. Please note that damage to the house or its contents is chargeable.
Children and Pets
Both houses are child-friendly and pet-friendly — same rules at each.
Children are welcome everywhere: the playground and play corner are theirs, the terraces and rooftop (White House) are supervise-your-own territory, and the grove is the best playground of all. Cots are available.
Pets are welcome too. Keep dogs out of the grove.
One thing we're firm about: every guest counts. Children and pets are guests — wonderful ones, but guests. Your booking must include everyone sleeping in the house, of every age, plus any pets, and the per-guest and pet fees apply to all of them. If your party grows after booking, just tell us and we'll adjust — arriving with undeclared guests is the one thing that sours a welcome, and we'd rather charge you fairly than greet you awkwardly.
The Hillside and the Village
Quiet hours: the village keeps old-fashioned ones — roughly 3–5:30 pm (the sacred mesimeri) and after 11 pm. Terrace dinners are expected; amplified music isn't.
The grove: walk it, picnic in it, enjoy it — just don't prune, pick, or climb without us (except at harvest, when we'll hand you a rake and mean it).
The chapel: the small chapel on the property is a family place — visitors welcome, respect asked.
Neighbours: wave. It's that kind of village, and they'll wave back with figs.

Parking is free on-site at both houses

Rubbish and recycling: take bags to the large communal bins on the road up to the house — there's no door collection in the village.
